You Should Never Blink

Corita Kent – aka Sister Corita – teaching at Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles, 1960s. Courtesy of the Corita Art Center.

Artist, teacher, and activist Corita Kent – aka Sister Corita – captivated mid-century America with her vibrant pop art and radical ideas, only to be largely omitted from the historical narrative until now. In her own words, and through the voices of contemporary artists and Corita’s former students, this feature-length documentary excavates and reconsiders the hidden legacy of this cultural icon.

You Should Never Blink is entering production in mid-2023 and has received funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
